Our client is a large logistics and distribution company based in Aylesford, Kent. They are offering an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a career in warehouse and logistics.
The client is looking for an experienced Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative to start work asap working on an ongoing temporary to permanent basis.
Counterbalance and/or Reach forklift experience is essential, ideally with a current certification.
As the client will require staff to work at a number of warehouse locations around the Aylesford area, a driving licence and access to your own transport is also essential.
The client is recruiting for the following shifts:
Mid shift Monday to Friday, 17:00 to 02:30am and every other Saturday 15:00 to 00:30am.
The salary will be £33,564 per year paid at an hourly rate of £13.04 while temping.
The work will involve:
· Loading and unloading of vehicles.
· Order Picking.
· Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of products.
· Checking goods are secure and performing equipment checks, including basic maintenance.
· Following written instructions and keeping records.
· Completing physical tasks quickly and accurately.
Applicant Requirements:
· Warehouse and/or distribution experience.
· Some order picking knowledge .
· Experience of operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment.
· Access to own transport
· Ability to work well with others.
· Ability to operate and control equipment.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing duties.
