Job Description
Our client has both a an Insurance Services Company and Claims Services Company based in Goudhurst Kent and are looking to recruit Part Time Bookkeeper to assist them on average 4 to 8 hours a week with additional hours at end of year.
The role:
- All purchase and sales ledger
- Bank reconciliations
- Knowledge of payments from GBP/USD and Euros, so conversion is required to GBP
- VAT return for the Claims company
- Must have experience of using QuickBooks that is used or Xero that is similar (may be looking to transgress to Zero)
- Assist with FCA returns
- Producing monthly management accounts for directors and FCA compliance
- Accruals and pre-payments
- Maintaining work in progress spread sheet for claims company
- Liaising with auditors and accountant
- Weekly update on expenditure and payments to directors including loans
- Proficient at use of excel
- Need to be able to work independently and be used to working on your own initiative and problem solving
- Need to be able to regularly identify the needs of directors in terms of financial position of the companies – profit, loss etc.
- Well organised and accurate
- Payroll for both companies
- Hourly wage depending on experience circa £17 to £18 per hour
