Elaine Craven

Managing Director

In 1977 I opened Earl Street Employment Consultants on the second floor of 38 Earl Street with just one member of staff. Now in business over 45 years we have remained at our current home at Laurel House on the corner of Earl Street and Pudding Lane since 1996. I am also heavily involved in charity work with local charities and Dawn Patrol (Maidstone Rotary Club). I am the founder of the Children of Kerala since 2006 and have a business Kerala Moments that offers travel advice for Kerala.

Alex Craven

I started working with Earl Street Employment when I was still at school, during my academic holidays, when I left school, I worked in publishing for seven years before joining Earl Street Employment as temporary industrial staff controller.  Currently company Director and also Manager of temporary staff division covering all office based and industrial recruitment.

I joined in 2002 having re-located to Kent. Initially this was to support the team on a temporary basis, 21 years later I am still here! Great company and superb work colleagues makes Earl Street Recruitment a special place to be.

Evelyn Brockman

Accounts Manager

I joined the company in 2015 and am enjoying my time here working a long side our team of recruitment consultants. My responsibilities here are to look after the book-keeping and payroll for both staff and temporary staff. I previously worked many years for a charity and then moved back into the private sector and had many different roles within finance departments. Over many years I have offered my services on a voluntary basis with various groups that I have been involved with.

I moved to Maidstone, Kent from Ireland in 2016 and was hired as a temp for Earl Street Recruitment to support them with their digital marketing and recruitment. Fast forward to now and I have my own business but have continued to support their digital marketing. They are a fantastic team and I enjoy working with everyone, a real family business in the heart of the community of Maidstone.

I first started working in the recruitment industry back in 1996, since that time I have had experience in all aspects of recruitment, however, working on a fast-paced temporary desk with lots of client and candidate interaction has always been my preferred role.

I joined Earl Street Recruitment in November 2018, I work part time in a role that encompasses temporary recruitment, sales and marketing and supporting the professional team here at Earl Street Recruitment.
