Easter is almost here, which means one thing… four day weekend! What will your long weekend consist of? Relaxing, celebrating, eating lots of Easter Eggs or perhaps you even have a city break planned?

The English Festival

In honour of St George’s Day, celebrate English traditions. As it’s the Easter Bank Holiday weekend there will be an Easter egg hunt. There is plenty more to do such as: pirate workshops, George and the Dragon show, Steam Engines and Tractor displays as well as a bandstand!

The Kent Wildlife Trust are hosting a variety of children’s activities such as making collages, learning about fossils and making bird food cake.

As Mount Ephraim Gardens reopen for the spring and summer seasons they’re kicking the bank holiday weekend off with an Easter Egg trail around the garden grounds.

Annual festival held over the Bank Holiday Weekend showcasing steam trains, classical cars and live music. Set to perform over the weekend are local musicians who feature on BBC Radio Kent, the Kent sessions. Food stalls and restaurants around the historic Dockyard provide a variety of food choices.

The third Maidstone Tattoo Extravaganza is being hosted at the Detling Showground over the Easter Bank Holiday. Watch over 100 tattoo artists create work whilst listening to live music and various other stage entertainers.
