Job Description
Our client is a large logistics and distribution company based in Lenham. They are offering an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a career in transport or logistics. The client is looking for an experienced administrator to start work asap as a Customer Service Advisor working on a ongoing temporary (to possible permanent) basis.
The key responsibilities will be:
- Supporting the transport/Customer Service team with all administrative duties
- Goods Receipt and Goods Despatch
- Briefing and de-briefing drivers including podding.
- Handling Telephone and e-mail correspondence
- Updating of the TMS (Transport Management System) and WMS (Warehouse Management System)
The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
The annual salary will be from £25,600 paid at an hourly rate while temping.
Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:
- Experience of logistics and supply chain
- A good team player
- Excellent IT skills and be proficient in the use of Excel and Word
- Great communication skills
- Educated to GSCE Standard or above.
- Calm, organised individual, able to work under pressure as part of the team as well as your own initiative.
