As we all know, all dogs are incredibly cute. However, some dog breeds stand out from the rest due to their appearance.
With a little bit of research, we have discovered so many dog breeds that we had never seen before, some being slightly strange looking. So, we have compiled a list of the strangest dog breeds from across the world!
The Puli is a Hungarian dog which differs from other breeds due to its heavy dreadlocks. Puli’s are primarily used for herding livestock, but are also a perfect family companion! This dog’s coat is extremely thick, making it basically water resistant.
The Komondor (shown in the first photo) is also a Hungarian dog. This pup is similar looking to the Puli, but just much bigger. The Komondor usually averages over 30 inches tall and has the thickest coats amongst all of the dogs in the world!
The Bedlington Terrier is from… Bedlington, England! This sheep looking dog is perfect for those families who are prone to allergies. Interestingly, this dog has had many jobs. They have been used to hunt vermin, race, for dog sports and to be a loveable companion.
This funny looking pup gets its name from its home town: Brussels in Belgium. The Brussels Griffon is widely known for being human like. This is due to its human-like eyes, its beard and moustache. These dogs are extremely energetic and playful and will be your companion for life!
This dog breed is one that you are more likely to come across in the UK! The Bull Terrier stands out from other dog breeds due to its odd shaped head. There is also a smaller version of this dog breed called the Miniature Bull Terrier.
The Chow Chow originates from China and translates to: “puffy-lion dog”. This overly fluffy dog with a squashed face is probably the cutest one that we have come across. Interestingly, the Chow Chow often has a purple/black tongue and lips and a blue or grey nose!
